I felt really sick yesterday. I was trying to wait until after the doctor did her rounds until I took some Gravol, but I didn’t quite make it. It didn’t matter anyway because she skipped me again even though she knew I wasn’t feeling well, I have had the same urinary tract infection since the end of January, my shoulders hurt so much I can’t even function at all some days and that my blood pressure has been constantly high for about a week now.
I managed to take Duke outside before supper (one of the recreational therapists takes him out in the morning on weekdays), but went right back to bed when we got back inside.
The Orthotist came by to let me know that the funding for my TLSO went through and she said I looked too unwell to do the measurements then, but that she would come by again the next day. The nurses seemed to agree that I didn’t look well at all. I looked the same as I felt.
The patient care coordinator also came in and asked me if the Physiatrist had been in to see me. When I said he hadn’t she said he was out in the hallway and went to find him. He told her he would stop by the next day to see me. He’s been saying he’d see me ‘tomorrow’ and ‘next week’ since November, so it will surprise me if he actually shows up today. Although him proving me wrong would be really helpful.
Add a bowel program, shower and taking Duke out once more and that pretty much sums up my day yesterday.
